I received a pearl necklace from a recent deceased great auntie and was wondering if I should insure it. if the pearls aren’t real I will feel stupid when I take it to be appraised. so, how can I tell if the pearl beads are real?

I’ve got quite a lot of them, but don’t know how to tell if they are the real deal. They look right and they feel cold to touch, but they seemed a bit cheap to be real.

How do I tell ?

It came in this cute red box, the store was having an anniversary, but thats all I can tell.

my husband got a letter in the mail from helzberg diamonds. it says that they have FREE pair of pearl earrings waiting for him. it says “no strings attached.” waddya think? should we go and see?
it says:
“bring in this card and youll receive a free pair of cultured freshwater pearl earrings on 10-k gold posts- $25 retail. no purchase necessary.”

I received a ‘pearl’ necklace for Christmas one year from a doctor I worked for. I never knew it if was real or not, but the necklace is heavy and the ‘pearls’ feel cold when I put the necklace on. Does anyone know how to tell if pearls are real or not? Thanks!
