SHANGHAI, China–At the Pearl Village Shop, freshwater oysters from China’s Tai Hu Lake are lumped together waiting to be scooped out and opened for the pearls they contain. Cultured pearls are made by inserting pearl beads inside oysters, which the bivalve wraps with a calcium carbonate substance because the abrasive beads irritate then. Ok so me and my man have been going out for almost a year and a half. On our 1 year anniversary he bought me a pendant with a heart on it, not really that expensive but definetly nice. Then this Christmas he bought me a gold necklace with a pearl on it and 3 diamonds above the pearl. I am just wondering what is the meaning behind a guy giving his gf necklaces. He knows I wear necklaces a lot and rings, but no ring yet. Some people have told me that the next thing will be a ring that he is just working his way up to purchase something bigger.

I received a pearl necklace from a recent deceased great auntie and was wondering if I should insure it. if the pearls aren’t real I will feel stupid when I take it to be appraised. so, how can I tell if the pearl beads are real?

Each crest is mounted on a cross with equal length arms. One shield is divided diagonally from upper left to lower right with blue on top, white on bottom. The blue/white field is overlapped with 5 rows of up pointing arrows seperated by hearts. The shield is surrounded by a red enamel wreath which opens at top, and all of it is mounted on a square set on point of mother of pearl. this sits on the cross of equal arm length, and this is mounted on another diamond shaped metal framework. The other side has another crest. This crest has a more decorative shield shape, is blue enamel and decorated with a Crowned Cross of Lorraine ( in center ), flanked by 2 Fleur de Lis.
The pendant hangs from a heavy and short masculine chain stamped GERMANY on the clasp.

I’m leaning more towards the silver, as my style is quite quirky.

Just a plain post with no dangles. I want to be able to buy the supplies and maybe see a demo on line. I can’t find a website that claims to have beads with a hole in one side to be used for studs. How do you suggest I have my hair done? I already bought a tiara – but now I have doubts about using that. I dress has a lot of sequins. I am wearing a two-string pearl necklace and matching earrings. the necklace has a diamond as a pendant.
